| Mangos |
Mangos have
been cultivated in Southeast Asia for more than 4000 years.
During the last fifty years, mango plantations have been
developed in the subtropical zones of both the American and
African continents.
Originally, the mango was a small fruit, green and fibrous. Generations of growers
have developed hundreds of varieties.
In general, mangos are very fragile
and do not ship well over
long distances. The fruit is often harvested before it has fully ripened, often
resulting in a loss of flavor and aroma.
Our goal and constant challenge is
to furnish you with
mangos of the highest standards which taste the best.

Marketing
The mango has become an everyday consumer product in the same way as the avocado
and it is one of the group's leading products. The group sells around 2 million
boxes per year, with a range which has been extended to cover the whole year
with sources such as Peru, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Senegal,
Mali, Israel, etc.
In France we have been bringing this
product in by sea and, increasingly, by air for a few years
now. In fact wholesalers are now looking for superior quality
ready-to-eat mangos so we bring them in by air and they have
been a huge hit. In fact 3 years ago we incorporated this product
into our luxury product range, under the "King" brand.
However we are looking for more suppliers capable to pack such a selection
in various origins, in order to establish a year-round offer. |
