The papaya has expanded very quickly
in the Northern countries, especially Holland and Germany,
but it is still having difficulties to find its way into
France. Even so, Georges Helfer was one of the first company
to introduce and develop this product, with the support of
a Brazilian company named Caliman, with whom we are still
working, especially in Switzerland, where our offer has reached
almost 150,000 boxes a year, 95% of them brought in by air,
to offer a 100% coloured product (which we ripen ourselves)
and kept at temperatures of 14°C.
We will be continuing with our efforts to promote this fruit in France because
we believe that the phenomenon which has taken place in neighbouring countries
will also be seen in France.
